Why Elevare exists
About Us
Elevare Education exists because too many students with talent and potential are being left without the support they need to succeed.
In Western Australia, 1 in 10 students comes from a migrant background. Many arrive with ambition, ability, and a strong work ethic - yet they face immediate challenges adjusting to a new education system. Unfamiliar learning styles, cultural differences, language barriers, and a lack of tailored guidance often leave students disengaged and families unsure where to turn. When these challenges go unaddressed, students fall behind; not because they lack ability, but because the system was never designed with them in mind.
Elevare Education was created to change that.

Our Story
Elevare began in August 2024 after a personal experience highlighted a much wider issue.
When one of our founders' 11-year-old cousin migrated to Australia, she struggled to adjust to school - confused by expectations, finding it hard to fit in, and unsure where she belonged. As migrant students ourselves, this felt all too familiar. We remembered navigating a new education system with limited support, despite having the ability to succeed.
As we spoke with families in our community, it became clear that little had changed. Migrant students continue to face academic, social, and emotional barriers - and existing solutions often address only part of the problem.
So we built what we wished had existed.
What makes us different?
Elevare Education is a youth-led, peer-driven mentoring and education initiative founded by senior students at Perth Modern School.
Unlike traditional tutoring, we combine:
-
Academic guidance
-
Emotional and wellbeing support
-
Cultural adjustment and belonging
Our programs are peer-led, holistic, and personalised, supporting students not just to improve academically, but to build confidence, resilience, and direction.
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure every student - especially those from migrant and disadvantaged backgrounds - has the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
When students are supported early, the benefits extend beyond the classroom, strengthening schools, communities, and Western Australia's future workforce.
